01What changes in Cessnock
Cessnock has a useful combination of climate, housing and travel factors for locally specific advertising. Bureau of Meteorology long-term statistics for Cessnock Airport report a mean maximum temperature of 30.4°C in January and a mean minimum of 4.2°C in July. That supports separate cooling and reverse-cycle heating messages, but it does not justify predicting demand or recommending a system from the weather alone.
The 2021 Census QuickStats for Cessnock recorded 85.5% of occupied private dwellings as separate houses, while 33.8% were rented. Forms can therefore ask about rooms served, outdoor-unit access, existing equipment and whether the enquirer owns the property or has the necessary approval, without assuming every lead is a detached owner-occupier. Travel also matters: Kurri Kurri and Branxton may fit a normal Cessnock run, while Maitland, Singleton and rural addresses can need different attendance windows or call-out terms.
NSW requires a licence or certificate for air-conditioning and refrigeration work, and its building-trade advertising guidance says the licensee name and licence number must appear in covered advertising. National refrigerant rules remain separate.
NSW EPA guidance also restricts when residential air-conditioner noise should be audible in a neighbour’s habitable room and recommends placing outdoor equipment away from bedroom and living-room windows. Those checks belong in the message and qualification process before any same-day, quiet-operation or installation claim is published.
