01What changes in Adelaide
Consumer and Business Services says a person contracting for building work in South Australia must hold a building work contractor’s licence or recognised equivalent, and the work must be supervised by a registered building work supervisor whose conditions cover that scope.
CBS guidance says domestic building work of $20,000 or more requires a written contract; its licensing FAQ also says building indemnity insurance is needed where the domestic contract is at least $20,000 and planning approval is required. That makes the licence conditions, project value and approval path relevant qualification fields, but they should be confirmed by the builder rather than decided automatically in the form.
Gawler, Tea Tree Gully, Marion and Onkaparinga span very different directions from central Adelaide, so campaigns should define actual build and supervision zones and account for the company’s trade network. A quoted investment range should never be presented as an approved finance amount, final contract sum or promise that indemnity cover has been issued.
