01What changes in Sydney
NSW Government removalist guidance recommends written, itemised quotes and contracts covering the inventory, pickup and delivery details, payment and possible storage costs. It also warns that removalists are not legally required to provide insurance for the customer’s property, so a Sydney campaign must describe cover from actual documents instead of saying “fully insured” without scope. Dense inner-city moves add a separate access problem.
City of Sydney says residential parking permits are not available for trucks and eligibility depends on the property and onsite parking; that is not a removal-vehicle booking system. The form should therefore ask whether the building has a loading dock, lift booking, height limit or manager instructions and whether the customer has investigated lawful kerb access. Parramatta, Penrith, Liverpool and the Sutherland Shire also create different travel and route profiles, so ad sets should reflect the operator’s real depot travel and minimums.
A fixed or hourly price needs stated assumptions about inventory, stairs, carries, tolls, packing and delays. Interstate jobs need realistic delivery windows and disclosure of any storage, consolidation or subcontracting rather than a precise arrival promise made before scheduling.
